What was the brief?
Outokumpu is made up of different business units – each one needing their own invoices, products and reporting. CCM was tasked to streamline how they procured their office items that didn’t jeopardise the level of control they needed. The units are also spread out over a large site so it was important that we could ensure the right orders/items got to the right individuals/locations.
How did we approach it?
We formed strong relationships with each business unit to ensure each unit got the items set up on our system that they needed. We also discussed the best way to control budgets and the authorisation process behind orders placed. We worked to set up each business unit separately so that paperwork could be completed properly – however also gave full control to the purchasing department.
What was the outcome?
Outokumpu have been using our online system to order both stationery and call off stock items for over 10 years. We have improved and upgraded our system and continue to add value as and when we can. Not only have we saved Outokumpu money and time but we have provided an easy solution for budgeting and distributing throughout the company.
